Pension Plan
Carbon County participates in the Wyoming Retirement System. Employees working 30 hours or more are eligible and are required to contribute a percentage of their wages towards retirement and the county also contributes a percentage. This is a pension plan and pays a monthly income for life based on your age, years of service and salary.
Visit the pension page of Wyoming Retirement's website. This will provide plan summaries for regular and law employees as well as retirement calculators.
457 Deferred Compensation Plan
With a simply payroll deduction, employees can contribute as little as $20 per month pre-tax or post-tax (Roth) or a combination of both towards a 457 deferred compensation plan.
Visit the Wyoming Retirement's website and login to your 457 plan to view your plan. You can also contact Wyoming Retirement directly at 307-777-7691 or contact Human Resources with question.
