Carbon County provides competitive wage and benefit plans to our employees. If you have any questions please email the Human Resources Department.

Eligibility

Employees working 30 or more hours weekly are eligible for benefits. Benefits listed are for full-time employees, 40 hours weekly, and some will be prorated for those working less. Benefits are also offered to all elected officials. These include insurance coverage, participation in the Wyoming Retirement System and workers compensation for the Sheriff and Coroner pursuant to Wyoming state law.

Transparency in Coverage - Blue Cross Blue Shield of WY

As an employer providing a non-Grandfathered self-funded or level-funded health plan, the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2020 requires the county to make a Machine Readable File containing detailed pricing information related to our health plan available on our own publicly available website by July 1, 2022. This pricing information includes network negotiated rates and historical payments and billed charges for out-of-network providers.
